Can The Bucs Change Defensive Schemes?

-Opinion Editorial-
Since the firing of head coach Dirk Koetter, fans have been asking themselves, “Could a new head coach be able to switch the defense from a 4-3 to a 3-4?”
In my opinion, no it can not be done with our current roster. I do not believe the Buccaneers have the right personnel that would allow a complete change of the defensive scheme.
A 3-4 defense is a type of defensive scheme that requires the type of defensive linemen that are bigger, stronger, and that is more than capable of defending against the run. More capable than our current lineman.
Changing schemes would also mean that we would have to sign bigger MLBs and OLBs that can rush the passer.
Could they eventually switch to a 3-4 defense? Sure! But it will take several seasons in order to assemble the correct players that are going to fit in that kind of system.
