EIGHT IS ENOUGH!!

Well, there goes the NFC South.
Yes, mathematically, the Buccaneers can still win it.
Yet, the Buccaneers gave up the first tiebreaker to Atlanta.
Rather, they gave up the first tiebreaker to Kirk Cousins.
Yes, Kirk Cousins.
That Kirk Cousins.
Cousins has thrown for eight touchdowns and nearly 800 yards in two victories this month over the Buccaneers.
To put it bluntly, Cousins has made the Buccaneers his bit*%!
Sorry ..Cousins is now the Buccaneers’ Daddy.
There is only so much profanity any human can say in a day and plenty of words were thrown around watching this game.
And please understand, that we’re talking about Kirk Cousins. Did I mention that??!!
We are not talking Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, or even, Aaron Rodgers here.
It is Kirk Cousins.
Again, Baker Mayfield gave the Buccaneers every opportunity to win this. Yet, again, Todd Bowles and this defense are the culprits.
Let me be clear, if Bowles had the scheme, the leadership, or the capability to turn this defense around, he would have done it by now.
The Buccaneers are 31st out of 32 NFL teams in giving up yards. Now it is up to 387 yards per game. And the Buccaneers have given up as many big plays of at least 40 yards or more five times. That’s as much as anybody in the NFL.
The unforgivable sin of losing to the Falcons again, Baker cut the margin to 31-26 with 6:52 remaining. Bowles and his defense allowed the Falcons to control five of those remaining minutes. In fact, the Bucs defense allowed a 13-yard run on 2nd and 14 to ..wait for it ..Kirk Cousins!!
And don’t give me the stuff about injuries. Eight games in, everybody is hurting.
Along with winning a 4th consecutive NFC South title, the opportunity its to make the playoffs flittered away. Yes, mathematically, still possible, but realistically…
Here’s what the Buccaneers are lining themselves up for. They will win seven or eight games. Finish out of the playoffs at 7-10 or 8-9 tops, and that is the worst place to be. It is NFL purgatory. Hard to build a draft class picking smack dab in the middle.
If you’re going to lose, then lose!!
Here’s the question that has to be asked at One Buccaneer Place.
Is Todd Bowles the Head Coach next season?
If the answer isn’t 100 percent: Yes, fire him now!!
Yes, fire him.
Name Liam Coen the interim head coach.
You now have more than half the season to see if Coen can do the job.
This is guaranteed ..if the Glazers have the biggest of brain farts and keep Bowles for next year, Coen will be gone. If Dave Canales can get a head coaching job, Coen can, for damn sure.
The Raiders, Browns, Titans, Giants, and Saints would all come calling.
Baker deserves better. Every week, he has to pile up enough points to beat the opposing team and out-score his defense.
You want wasted opportunities …The Bucs’ 26 points would have won 10 of the 13 afternoon games in Week 8
