Rachaad White has an ankle/foot injury.
Bucky Irving is getting his first chance to be the official RB1 Sunday in New Orleans. For many of us, he already was the Bucs’ RB1. A substantial upgrade at the position is what the Oregon Ducks NFL rookie is. White has always been more of a change of pace/3rd down back. Last season, he did a pretty good job covering the full-time job at the position with almost 1,500 combined yards rushing and receiving. This season, Irving is rushing at over 5 yards a clip, ranking him among the elite at the position. What else needs to be said? Even if White wasn’t injured, Bucky should be the lead guy.
Getting his chance
So whatever the reason, this is Mar’Keise Irving’s (Bucky) big chance to hog the stage. He should show that he is the rightful owner of the RB1 position. It’s just the natural progression of things. The guy with the most talent/skills rises to the top of the depth chart. It should be a lot of fun watching this game and seeing what Bucky can do against our archrival, the Saints. Go Bucs, go Bucky!!
