Baker Mayfield is this year’s CPOY?

When Baker Mayfield signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the offseason, there was very little positivity was spread regarding the upcoming season. Fast forward to the final two weeks of the regular season; the Bucs have more than doubled their projected win total, and Baker Mayfield has fans clamoring over the 6th year quarterback as he has entered the conversation for NFL Comeback Player of the Year, along with Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin and Cleveland Browns QB Joe Flacco (who entered the 2023 season as a stay-at-home Dad before joining the Browns mid-season).

During the month of December, Mayfield passed for 1,010 yards 9 TDs, and 1 INT while averaging a 117.4 rating. For the season, Mayfield has 3,598 yards, 26 TDs, and 8 INTs with a 96.2 rating.
