Sean Tucker’s hold on the RB2 may not have legs

Fell into their laps

There have only been three young Bucs this preseason that have really caught my eye; players that I feel are going to have success for this team will be stars for this team. Kyle Trask, 6th round pick wide receiver Trey Palmer, and undrafted free agent out of Syracuse running back Sean Tucker. Tucker was considered a good bet to go in the second round. Until a heart abnormality revealed at the combine caused teams to wipe him from their boards. Tucker has not elaborated on the specifics of the condition. The Bucs gave him a quick invite to camp, and now he’s broken into the rotation for carries with starter Rachaad White from the RB2 slot. The rest as they say, will be history.

I hate to say it, but

In my personal opinion, Rachaad White is nothing special. He lacks breakaway speed and isn’t the shiftiest fella around. Again, my opinion: but he isn’t as good of a pure runner as RoJo was. RoJo could scat if he beat you; White, not so much. He’s a little bit sleeker version of Peyton Barber. Sean Tucker, in comparison, made a video of himself at the combine after being ruled out. The 40 times cannot be corroborated for proof, but he ran the first at 4.39 sec. and the second at 4.33 sec; Tucker is extremely explosive and will leave defenders grabbing air. He also can run with authority and stick it to you if that is what’s called for. He’s a stud and a star waiting to happen. I mean no disrespect to Rachaad White, but Tucker’s coming for your job player. White, no fault of his own, just doesn’t have the jets to stave off Tucker for any real-time at all. As soon as Tucker starts getting his carries, the difference will be like night and day. It goes beyond just being show-off fast. Tucker is excellent in pass protection and a natural receiver that makes it look easy. The only thing that could possibly delay it is the staff trying to be diplomatic or fair to White. Read my words, “Tucker is a Beast!” No, confusion here as to why Tucker was a unanimous first-team All-American following the 2021 season at Syracuse after rushing for almost 1,500 yards. Sean Tucker is going to be a huge success story for this season. The Bucs are going to need many more of those. Go Bucs!!
