Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Expected To Fire Offensive Coordinator
1 min read
It looks like the majority of Buccaneers fans are going to get their wish because there are multiple reports out there that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are preparing to fire Offensive Coordinator Byron Leftwich.
In just a matter of one season, the Bucs’ offense went from one of the best and one of the most feared units in the NFL to one of the worst. Say what you want about the numerous injuries that played a role in why Tampa’s offense was so dismal this year. Either way you slice it, the Bucs’ offense was terrible this season. Therefore, it’s time for Leftwich to walk the plank!
This has been brewing for some time. It’s just now coming to light that there were rumors of this happening after the Rams game and after the Ravens game, but Tom Brady went to bat for Leftwich and saved his job, that is up until now that the season has come to an end. That was probably the right decision because it is really difficult to change coordinators during the season and still have success with a new coach and new schemes.
I look forward to seeing who the next offensive coordinator is! Hopefully, someone young, and creative with his playcalling!
