Brady watches the Patriots’ game each and every week.

After the big win over the Rams, one that was sorely needed for this organization. Tom Brady talked about a variety of subjects on his XM Mad Dog Radio show Let’s Go. One of those subjects was the New England Patriots. Brady had a lot of flattering things to say about his old team. He started off by saying that he watches the Patriots’ games every week. He was then asked what he thought of Coach Belichick passing the Bears’ legend George Halas for second place on the all-time wins list. Brady responded by saying,

“A remarkable achievement by him and what he’s gone through in his coaching career,” Brady said. “In as many years as he’s been coaching and preparing his teams, he’s so deserving of the award. “He’s been an amazing coach that I got to play for 20 years. He always has his team prepared. He works incredibly hard, and he’s incredibly deserving of all the accolades that go along with it. I’m really happy for him, and none of his success really surprises me, getting a first-hand view of what he put into it every week for 20 years that I was there with him.”

Mutual admiration.

Being around the future Hall Of Fame Coach for twenty years, all the success, and all the memories, Brady went on about his former coach.

“He is a historian of the game,” Brady said. “I remember when I was there, we talked about Chicago Bears-Green Bay Packers. There were a lot of history lessons he would give the team to give you perspective on the history of football, history of coaching, history of playing, history of rivalries and games, and the founding of NFL teams because we all love football.” Brady then added.“He’s going to go down as the greatest coach of all time. He’s done an incredible job; certainly, with the Patriots, he’s an amazing coach.”

No other player/coach relationship has been as fruitful as those two. Possibly no pair has ever worked as hard at achieving that success either. Both men have admiration and respect for each other, and that’s the way it should be. With the Bucs getting that much-needed victory, let’s hope that Brady makes more positive history as a Buccaneer as well. Go Bucs!!
