If you have been paying attention, then you know that the Bucs have had some problems keeping their offensive linemen healthy this camp and preseason. Center Ryan Jensen is gone for the season. Aaron Stinnie is the latest to go down to the injury bug. Suddenly, the Bucs are getting thin up front before the first regular season snap.
There are players out there, of course, that are hoping to catch on with a team in need. One of those players, Earl Watford, the Bucs are familiar with. The 8-year veteran was brought in 2019 and played in 15 games, starting in 4. As the tweet below is a sign of his availability, Watford has had several of them letting the world know he is staying in shape and ready to go to work. He would be much happier being able to use the equipment at the Bucs training facilities, I am sure. Watford is a natural left guard but is able to play other positions if need be.
Look for the Bucs to check out all available possible depth. It just makes sense that Watford would be high on that list, being that they know what they are getting with him. In the meantime, General Manager, Jason Licht, has decreed that all offensive linemen expected to start at Dallas Week 1; shall be held out of all contact drills. Stay tuned as this trench tale marches on toward opening week in Dallas. Go Bucs!!
I AM AVAILABLE!!!!
