As the Tampa Bay Buccaneers prepare to take on the New York Giants on Monday Night Football, the team received some great news. It seems that wide receiver Scotty Miller, tight end Rob Gronkowski, and cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting were all practicing today.
Following Thursday’s practice, Buccaneers’ defensive coordinator Todd Bowles addressed how the Bucs third-year cornerback is looking during his attempt to return.
“He’s getting better,” Bowles said. “He’s comfortable. He has been running around a lot more. His wind is getting a lot better, so we will just continue to monitor him.”
As for a return this week, it is a wait-and-see situation. “We will see where he is at the end of the week,” the Buccaneers’ defensive coordinator said.”That will tell the picture right there. If we play him in a game, that means I’m confident in him playing full snaps; so we will see.”
But recent news certainly sounds like he will make an appearance on Monday Night.
According to Greg Auman, Miller and Murphy-Bunting seem to be practicing with little to no limitations.
Bucs’ Sean Murphy-Bunting and Scotty Miller both seem to be practicing with little or no limitations today. Both can be activated off IR to play against Giants on Monday, and Bucs have two openings on their 53.

A huge break for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers if Sean Murphy-Bunting indeed returns and plays Monday Night. The Bucs are already without cornerbacks Carlton Davis, who is said to be running at practice but not practicing with the team so he will not be available for Monday Night’s game; Rashard Robinson and Richard Sherman, who are both on Injured Reserve.
The possible return of Gronk and Miller will certainly help Tom Brady’s arsenal, but having one of his favorite targets Gronkowski back, is more than a morale booster. It’s an added offensive danger. Miller has been practicing punt return all week and having him back gives the Bucs the target that can stretch the field at any given time. Things are looking up for the Buccaneers, heading into Week 11.
