Today, Head Coach Bruce Arians announced the game status for a few of the players who missed last weeks game against the New England Patriots. TE Rob Gronkowski will be out once again with a rib injury sustained against the Rams. CB Jamel Dean and OLB Jason Pierre-Paul practiced and will be active this week.
Huge break for the Buccaneers defense as they get a veteran leader back in Pierre-Paul and an added boost to the secondary in Dean. Currently, the Buccaneers rank dead last (32nd) in pass defense giving up 327.5 yards a game.
Rookie Joe Tryon-Shoyinka did a great job filling in for Pierre-Paul last week recording two sacks and Richard Sherman filled in for Dean/Murphy-Bunting recording a team-high seven tackles.
The Miami Dolphins are without starting QB Tua Tagavailoa so Jacoby Brissett gets the start. In his career against the Buccaneers, Brissett is 0-1 throwing for 251 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions.
