Giovani Bernard Injury Update

In Sunday’s loss to the Los Angeles Rams, Buccaneer RB Giovani Bernard scored a touchdown late in the fourth quarter. While scoring the touchdown, Bernard was flipped and his knee got hit and he was down in pain.
According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, there’s some good news. Bernard is day-to-day with a slight MCL sprain. With the injuries that the Buccaneers are suffering already this season, this is a big break for the offense.
On the season, Bernard has 13 receptions for 79 yards and one touchdown. He was featured heavily in the passing game against the Rams as the team abandoned the run early on. Giovani Bernard provides a very dynamic skill set and spark out of the backfield so we’ll keep an eye on his status as the week goes on before the team heads to New England.
