You have probably seen articles going around about Tom Brady renegotiating his contract or something to that effect. We have been told a little something by someone very familiar with the inner workings of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
According to our source, very close to the situation, you should look for Brady to be here for the next few seasons with a nice two-year contract extension, which will also have a third-year option. He could be here through 2024.
Will that help with this year’s cap? As of now, No. Brady earned just over 28.3 million for the 2020 Historic-Super Bowl season, and that number of 28.3 million (which is correct at the time of this article) will hit the cap for 2021. But have no fear! We are in the works for a cap relief for this season, so signing our guys back will be a lot easier.
So, despite the possible large cap hit, have no fear, Buc fans; all is well, and it seems that the G.O.A.T. is here to stay for a while.
We will bring you more details as they are given to us.
