One of the best at it
If you had plenty of money, and you wanted to hire somebody to really piss someone off. Someone with a nasty streak a mile wide (documented). A real get under your skin type of fella who doesn’t care a thing about you. I can’t think of a better candidate for the job than Ndamukong Suh. Honestly, I can’t think of but maybe a few that come close to his mastering of Nasty. So it isn’t surprising that when Bruce Arians and Todd Bowles needed a player to be Rodgers’ arch-enemy, they turned to a man named Suh. There was already history between them. In 2014 Suh was suspended by the NFL for stepping/stomping on Aaron Rodgers’ foot. In fact, in his career, Suh has been fined 8 times for the better part of a million dollars, 7 of them involving other players and he has been suspended twice. Once for a nasty incident carried out against his now former teammate Evan Smith. That was a few years back, and both players say it was put to rest.. So there is a lot of history out there with Suh, especially with Rodgers.
“My job was to piss him off and win that game,” Suh said Tuesday on Shannon Sharpe’s podcast. “I’m gonna always want to piss off Aaron and make him not want to be my friend on the football field.”
As we all know, Rodgers had plenty to be pissed off about during and after the NFC Championship. Suh didn’t get a sack-like he did in their first meeting in the regular season. But it’s safe to say that the mission was accomplished in a fine fashion.
“Without question, all quarterbacks. Even Tom, I want to piss Tom off during practice. That’s my job. That’s my focus.”
When it comes to pissing people off, Suh will go down as one of the all-time greats. Go Bucs!!
