JPP and Barrett Are Difference Makers

When it comes to Tampa Bay’s defense, two guys that really stick out in my mind are Jason Pierre-Paul and Shaquil Barrett. Both of them are difference makers and game changers for the Bucs, given their skill-sets, talents and abilities.

Once again, like last year, both of them are putting on a show on the field with their performances so far this year. Both of them are approaching the double-digit sack milestone. With three games left in the regular season, Barrett has 8 sacks, while JPP has 9.5 sacks. It’s so awesome to have these guys in Tampa, as they are key contributors. It was definitely worth signing JPP to a three year extension, and I sure hope Jason Licht can lock up Shaq Barrett for Tampa with a long term deal during the off-season.

JPP, specifically, with so many big plays he’s made, he’s been a major reason why the Bucs have been able to stay in some games and even a big reason why the Bucs have won some games this year, coming up with timely turnovers. He currently ranks third in the NFL for forced fumbles, compiling four of them.
