Wide receiver Chris Godwin had surgery on his finger following the game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Godwin had broken his left index finger on a touchdown catch in that game, and it was severe enough that it required the placement of corrective pins. Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reported this morning that he had undergone another surgery to remove those pins. Godwin had only missed just the Monday Night Football game against the New York Giants due to this injury. The fourth-year veteran has played in 8 games this season, catching 49 passes for 562 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Also being reported is the expected return to practice for defensive back Jamel Dean. Dean missed last week’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs but will return to practice and is expected to play this Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.
