The Bucs have signed wide receiver Spencer Schnell, this morning. Schnell was picked up after the draft, last season, as an undrafted out of Illinois State. He played in two preseason games for the Buccaneers in 2019, running the football twice against the Dallas Cowboys for a total of 24 yards and a long of 19. Additionally, he had returned 1 punt that game for a total of 6 yards. During his second game against the Steelers, he looked like a man among boys when he saw action. Schnell caught 7 of 9 passes, racking up 119 yards and a long of 30. Catch his highlight video from that game here: Spencer Schnell 2019 Preseason Highlights

Schnell was pretty popular with the fans, and many were disappointed to see him not make the team. Whether or not he makes the team again this year, is still up in the air, but the Bucs were brought in three receivers this past Sunday, Greg Dortch, Spencer Schnell, and Shelton Gibson. So there is room for opportunity.

According to the Buccaneers, Schnell will wear the number 83. Same number he wore last year.
