Hopefully, soon the Bucs will begin training camp and start to narrow their roster down to 53 men come opening day.

Here are five players I think that is not likely to make the final roster.

1. Guard Zack Bailey – This isn’t because Bailey doesn’t have the skill set to play guard in the NFL, it’s more due to his injury history while at South Carolina. In 2018 he suffered a broken leg and an ankle injury against Kentucky his junior year.

2. Free Safety Andrew Adams – Adams is terribly one dimensional. He can play FS but isn’t much of a SS as he is a poor tackler at best. Now that the Bucs have drafted their FS of the future in Antoine Winfield Jr., I don’t see any room for Adams on this team. His skill set is limited, and his salary is just too much for so little production.

3. Linebacker Kendell Beckwith – This is a no-brainer. Beckwith most likely will never play football again after an ankle injury, and he’s doing nothing but taking up a roster spot at this point.

4. Outside Linebacker Quinton Bell – Bell is definitely talented, there’s no doubt about that, but he played only 1 season at DE in college, which makes him a project, and the Bucs are in win-now mode.

5. Running back Raymond Calais – The rookie out of Louisiana-Lafayette should be able to make an NFL roster somewhere, but it’s not going to happen with the Bucs. At just 5’8 188 lbs, I don’t think he has the size to be a starter. I can see him being a change of pace back with a team short on RBs, but the Bucs are set at this position.
