It’s finally official: OLB Jason Pierre-Paul has put ink to paper and re-signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for two more seasons at $27 million, quite a substantial raise for the veteran pass rusher.
After injuring his neck in an automobile accident, his future was in doubt. Nobody knew if he’d ever play football again, but JPP wasn’t done. After returning from the neck injury, JPP put up 8.5 sacks in 10 games. He showed Bucs fans not only can he do it on the field but can do it in the locker room as a leader.
His new contract is well deserved. He and Shaq Barrett are going to be a QB’s worst nightmare, and Bucs fans can breathe a sigh of relief. Now we wait on Brady.
