According to Greg Auman of The Athletic, the Tampa Bay “Bucs have hired Mississippi State head strength coach Cory Bichey as their new assistant strength coach, replacing Mike Stacchiotti, who left to be Pitt’s head strength coach. Bichey worked with Bucs strength coach Anthony Piroli in Starkville, played o-line at Indiana State”

Bichey, formerly a strength and conditioning coach for Mississipi State, worked alongside Buccaneers’ head strength and conditioning coach Anthony Piroli in 2018 before rejoining head coach Bruce Arians in Tampa in 2019. Piroli worked under Head Coach bruce Arians as the Arizona Cardinals assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Arizona Cardinals from 2015-2017.

Cory Bichey helped develop a well oiled Bulldogs team and trained several top 2019 Draft picks in Montez Sweat, Johnathan Abram, Jeffery Simmons, and Elgton Jenkins. Bichey’s addition to the team’s coaching staff will help ensure the development of our younger players, while hopefully keeping injuries to a minimum.
