The 2019 season is in the books for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, so now we will begin focusing on 2020. The season was a wild ride. New coaches, new schemes, new players, records were broken, and just all around crazy stuff happening, Bucs media and fans will now begin focusing on the what-if and why not, heading into spring. But before all that even starts here is the 2020 Tampa Bay Buccaneers unofficial schedule.
The NFL schedule makers use a formula implemented in 2002 to determine and guarantee that all teams play each other on a rotating basis.
Under the formula all teams play 16 games:
- Home and Away vs their own division equaling six games.
- Four teams from another division within their conference on a three-year rotating cycle equaling four games.
- Four teams from a division in another conference on a rotating four-year cycle equaling four games.
- Two intraconference games based on the previous season’s standings. These two games, match two first-place teams in the same two conference divisions the teams are not scheduled to play that season. Second, third, and fourth place teams in a conference are also matched in the same way.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2020 Schedule:
Home: Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints, Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs, LA Chargers, LA Rams, Minnesota Vikings.
Away: Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints, Chicago Bears, Denver Broncos, Detroit Lions, Raiders, New York Giants.
Dates and times will be announced in the Spring of 2020.
