If there’s one thing everyone can agree on when it comes to quarterback Jameis Winston, it’s that he’s one tough gunslinging dude. Jameis arrived at his annual charity event for kids, Famous Jameis Jamboree, at Raymond James Stadium sporting a brace/ cast on his throwing hand. He tossed some football around with the youngsters using his left hand.
Winston fractured his right thumb during last Sunday’s contest against the Indianapolis Colts. He left the game for a series, allowing 5th-year man Ryan Griffin to get his first taste of regular-season action, but then returned to cap off a historic comeback win. He threw for 456 yards, most in Buccaneers franchise history, four touchdowns, and 3 interceptions, finishing the game with a 107.3 rating.
Despite the broken thumb and being in a preventative brace/ cast, Jameis Winston is expected to take the helm against the Detroit Lions this Sunday in the Motor City. According to my source, he will only wear this brace/cast when he is not working out or practicing.
