This year the Bucs running game is far greater than it was last season. Part of the reason for that is the emergence of Ronald Jones, but you also must give credit to their OL.
The Bucs O Line is ranked 8th overall this season after finishing at the bottom of the league last year. The O Line is much improved, there’s no doubt, and C Ryan Jensen is the straw that stirs the drink.
The Bucs signed Jensen to a fat contract, last season, to help improve a weak offensive line after spending 4 seasons in Baltimore. Jensen has gone into beast mode, and this year has only allowed 1 sack in 8 games. He’s also been very effective at run blocking able to dominate opposing guards with his 6’4″ 320lbs frame. His ability to anchor himself in the passing game is second to none, as he is extremely difficult to move once he’s dug in.
This Sunday Ronald Jones is getting the start at RB, but keep your eye on Jensen opening those running lanes for him up the middle.
