Former Buc suspended

1 min read

The answer to why Devante Bond was cut by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers might not be solely down to performance.

News is surfacing that the former Buccaneer linebacker is to be suspended for 4 games for violating the League’s substance abuse policy.

Bond’s performance didn’t set the league or even his team on fire with just 6 tackles despite appearing in rotation in every game for Tampa Bay this season. The less than stellar play coupled with the four-game suspension will likely spell the end for Devante Bond as teams will be unlikely to look at a perennial backup who won’t be able to play for four games, upon signing with any potential new team.
