A Sad Day for The Licht Family

Rick Stroud Tweeted shortly before the game that Buccaneers GM Jason Licht’s father, Ron Licht, passed away suddenly Saturday night. Ron Licht was a big motivation for Bucs GM Jason Licht,  supporting him through all of his games from Junior High School and onward. We ask fellow Buccaneers fans to keep him in your thoughts and prayers as he goes through this tough time.

Jason Licht was not in attendance for the game, but did receive the game ball. A very sad time for our GM, even if there was a big win. I am sure that Ron Licht was smiling down on his son’s team and maybe even helped guide the ball from time to time. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers even made a similar mention on twitter:

Game ball goes to GM Jason Licht, whose father suddenly passed away last night.

A huge Nebraska fan, it’s no coincidence that all three Nebraska connections: Suh, David and Barrett (Omaha native), all made huge defensive plays.
