Ndamukong Suh: Looking forward to playing in this heat.

Week one is right there, it’s so close that we can almost hear the cannon reports, and smell the smoke in the air. I can visualize the fans filling the stands in droves, a sea of red and pewter sounding off in full trepidation as the wait is finally over. Will Tampa bring the heat? The elements will certainly bring their heat as it will be in the mid to high 80’s with 63-65% humidity; essentially, it’s going to be hot, and it’s going to be muggy.

For one player, they are looking forward to getting out there on the field and playing in this heat. Having played in sunny California last year and in Miami previously, Ndamukong Suh is eager to get out there and play under our Tampa sun.

“I’m excited to get back to football. It’s always fun Week One, getting two weeks, pretty much, to prepare. I’m excited to get out there Sunday in this nice heat.”

Suh has talent, there is no question about that, and he has been around the league long enough to know talent when he sees it. The veteran defensive lineman believes the Buccaneers, as a whole, are formidable.

“We’ve got a tremendous amount of talent. Without question, we have a lot of talent on both sides of the ball, and even on special teams, and I think it’s about execution for us, playing at a high level.”

The excitement level of the players is certainly through the roof, and you don’t have to be in the war room to know this. For some, it may just be another day at the office, but for the Tampa Buccaneers and their fans, it’s life, and the long wait is just a day away from finally being over. Maybe even more so for these younger players getting their first taste of regular-season action as an NFL player. It’s electric.
