The year of Noah Spence
1 min readNoah Spence’s time in Tampa has been lackluster, to say the least. For somebody who was supposed to be the best pass rusher in the draft he’s been quite disappointing, but maybe the problem wasn’t Spence.
Spence was drafted to be a 4-3 DE but at just 6’2″ and barely 250lbs he was always more suited to play 3-4 OLB, and now he’s going to get that chance. In new DC Todd Bowles new defensive scheme Spence has been lining up as a 3-4 pass-rushing OLB and so far the results have been outstanding.
Since the pads came on in practice Spence has been absolutely relentless, making LT Donavon Smith look absolutely overmatched. Now the Spence has finally found his niche in this defense, with his athletic ability and an array of pass-rushing moves this could be the year of Noah Spence.
