On Sunday, July 21st, Buccaneers rookies reported. Jameis Winston also reported in order to prepare for the next three days of Quarterback School.

Starting Monday, the class began. Winston was joined by fellow quarterbacks, Ryan Griffin, Nick Fitzgerald who was sidelined with a non-football related injury, and Blaine Gabbert to begin practicing the new offensive and defensive scheme with their rookie teammates.

Buccaneers beat writer Carmen Vitali describes the day as, “meetings and even an hour-long practice with individual, team, and seven-on-seven periods.”

Practice makes perfect as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookies get a chance to have extra time learning the new scheme of both offense and defense. The additional practice ahead of the start of training camp on Thursday, in which the rest of the team arrives, will help the rookies become ready for Bruce Arians’ famous double practices. It helps the rookies get used to the practice regimen that they will be facing in the coming month. Quarterback School will end on Wednesday and Training Camp will officially begin on Friday at 4 P.M, launching a New Era in Tampa Bay.
