The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will travel to Pittsburg to face off against the Steelers for the first game of the preseason.
“The Buccaneers-Steelers matchup will still be shown live in the Bay Area by Tampa Bay’s preseason partner, WFLA, News Channel 8. However, the NFLN simulcast will give out-of-market Buccaneer fans the same opportunity to catch the team’s debut under Arians. The August 9 contest is set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET.” – Scott Smith Senior Writer/Editor of Buccaneers.com
According to Scott Smith, preseason week one will mark just the second time that the Bucs have played a preseason game in Pittsburgh. Smith also noted that despite both teams having 90 men on the roster you will see a fair share of big named players during the game.
The last time the Buccaneers faced the Steelers on the road in the preseason was in 1996 when Tony Dungy lost his first game 13-3.
