Today we mourn the loss of a local Tampa sports talk radio host. WDAE 95.3 FM announced this morning the passing of Steve Duemig due to complications with brain cancer. His last broadcast was in February 2018.
Steve had been on the air since 1996. A 13-year golf PGA pro, The Big Dog was a staple for Tampa Bay Sports Radio. There weren’t a lot of updates on his health condition since his last broadcast.
Steve was passionate about sports, politics, horse racing, and gambling. The Big Dog hosted an afternoon call-in show at WDAE, which many of us here have called into.
All of us here at Bucs Life News would like to extend our thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of Steve Duemig.
