Ian Beckles Predicts Terrible Season for Tampa
2 min read
I was reading a Joe Bucs Fan article recently, and it stated that Ian Beckles is predicting the Bucs to have a really bad season. Like 2 wins bad.
“Take prominent ex-Buccaneer like guard Ian Beckles (1990-1996). He was spouting on WDAE-AM 620 this week that he thinks the Bucs will finish 2-13-1 following his review of the Tampa Bay schedule. It wasn’t a one-off take, Beckles repeated the call and kept the option to change his prediction before the season.”
“Whether its a two-win prediction or six, it tells Joe there’s little confidence around town in the starting quarterback.”
I agree with Joe’s take on our season predictions that it shows a lack of confidence for our QB and our new coaching staff, and it is a bit biased in my opinion. I do predict us to win 7 and only due to all the traveling we have to do around the midpoint of the season. It is quite a bit of air time. Flying to the west coast, and then back to the east coast, then overseas and back to the west. It has to take a toll on any football team.
If Tampa can overcome all of the frequent flyer miles they will accumulate in that stretch, then the Bucs could have a better than 7 season. I’ve seen some even predict 10 wins, but that’s a little farfetch’d in my opinion. Stranger things have happened. I suppose I may be one of the “Ye with little faith”, but I have a been a Bucs fan for a long time and no longer bet with my heart, so to speak.
