The Buccaneers brought veteran defensive tackle Mitch Unrein in for a physical on Wednesday and was not cleared to resume football activities. Tampa released the veteran with a Failed Physical Destination.
unrein never made to the field of play last year after sustaining a concussion during practice early in training camp. He spent the entire season on Injured Reserve.
The release of Unrein saves Tampa $3.5 million towards the cap, but there could be some injury compensation for the 31-year-old defensive tackle.
