Beau Allen Takes Pay Cut to Remain With Buccaneers

Beau Allen will remain on the Buccaneers roster for the 2019 season by taking a $1 million pay cut. Out of the $4 million, he is due for the 2019 season just $1.5 million is guaranteed. Considering that the Bucs are likely to continue cleaning house in order to have a nice cap to work with next season, this is a good decision made by Allen. Otherwise, he would have likely become a cap casualty.
He was originally due to Make $5 Million per year over the following two seasons and had a potential out clause in his contract for this season. Allen will become a free agent in 2020.
He played in 14 games last season, starting in 8, recording 20 tackles – two for a loss, and 4 hits on the quarterback.
#Bucs DT Beau Allen took a $1 million pay cut, in exchange for new guarantees that solidify his spot on the roster. He's now due $4M in 2019.
