Breaking News: Buccaneers Sign Running Back

1 min read

Bruce Arians and Andre Ellington know each other all to well. Ellington having played in Arizona under Arians for close to 5 full seasons has had his share of ups and downs.

Playing in 61 games Ellington recorded 1,750-yards on 418 carries and 10 touchdowns. The veteran running back also has had his fair share of passes thrown his way.

While in Arizona he caught 151 passes for 1,368-yards and 2 TDs. It’s likely that Ellington is here to help Ronald Jones II in his development.

The hiring of a former Arizona Cardinals player is a possible sign that more could come, and already people are whispering behind the curtains for Arians to seek out WR John Brown.

Another situation to keep an eye on is one involving the future of Adrian Peterson.

The veteran running back tore Tampa to shreds at Arizona last time we played against him in 2017, and is set to become a free agent this year. Peterson had expressed a want to play in Tampa back in 2017, but the rest is history. Considering Arians also is linked with Adrian Peterson and had given a shot when few would, I’d keep my on that situation closely as free agency approaches.Peterson is still a capable running back with plenty of gas left in his tank.
