Winston Addresses Misconceptions About His Character

Jameis Winston recently joined Adam Schein on SiriusXM Mad Dog Radio and wanted to set the record straight about his character.

Many fans are of a belief that Winston is a bad person, and are unwilling to forgive and forget. People make mistakes, and whether or not any of the allegations are true, many are locked into the prerequisite that Winston cannot maintain a high level of professionalism off of the field.

Winston addressed that on air.

“The biggest misconception about me is that I’m not a good person. You know, but I do my best every single day on and off the field to make sure that I’m being the best me no matter what. I know that I’m adamant in the community. I’m a great human being. And I love life, and I’m always going to love life. I’m going to be myself.”

Opinion editorial: The many uncouth circumstances that surrounded Winston prior to the draft and through the last offseason has many people fighting on social media about the type of person Jameis Winston is. Some turn it into a race issue while others turn it into an ethical controversy. However, you swing the issue is up to you. But one simple fact remains, and that is that the basis surrounding the argument split the fan base down the middle.

Winston was young and put into some very uncomfortable situations. whether the accusations were truthful or not, Winston admits that they were warranted due to putting himself into those situations. He is maturing and maybe should be seen in a new a light. It’s easy to point fingers, and for a time, it seemed to be the social anecdote to accuse everyone and anyone, especially celebrities or those with money, falsely in order to receive a payout. I am not saying that is the particular case with Winston, but I can say that we weren’t there, so we shouldn’t judge.
