DeSean Jackson Says He Would Like To Play For The Rams
2 min read
DeSean Jackson was not happy in Tampa, and that is more than evident based on his request for a trade last season. Of course, Jackson is still under contract with Tampa, even with having an early out clause within the contract, that doesn’t mean Jackson has to play. He could easily hold out if he does not get his way.
Bruce Arians stated that he would like to have the veteran receiver return to the team and many hope that a regime change could alter the receiver’s perception of the team. Despite saying that he has not spoken with Arians and that his return would be up to his agent and the team, many felt a hope that he could return. Although, just as many hope he does not return. Well, those who do not wish for him to return could get their wish. Jackson recently stated in an interview with Simms & Lefkoe that worst case scenario he would like to play in LA with the Rams. He cited his connections to Sean McVay Sean from when he was with the Redskins. Maybe trade scenario could surface in the coming months.
Despite having said he wanted to play for the Rams, he did mention that he had another year with the Buccaneers and would have to wait and see.
This is on his wish list but “Won’t happen! ” Jackson would likely have to take a serious pay cut to play in L.A., and the Rams don’t even need him with Robert Woods, Brandin Cooks, Cooper Kupp, and Josh Reynolds under contract. It’s more of a dream scenario for Jackson than anything.
