Jason Hickson’s 7 Round Mock Draft
1 min read
The Bucs are expected to do some major overhauls to the roster. With the draft a couple months away, let’s look at the potential players that I think the team should be looking at.
Round 1, pick #5 – DeAndre Baker: CB Georgia Bulldogs.
Everyone seems to love Greedy, but I believe Baker is the better overall corner in the draft.
Round 2, pick #9 – Oshane Ximines: LB Old Dominion. A 3-4 outside linebacker who would allow Lavonte David to move inside in Todd Bowles defense.
Round 3, pick #70 – Clayton Thorson: QB Northwestern.
He is a dual-threat QB, who would sit and learn while providing a viable option if Winston goes down with an injury.
Round 4, pick #100 – Chris Slayton: DT Syracuse.
A true 3-4 Defensive tackle that is solid and will supply depth on the D-line.
Round 5, pick #134 – Martez Ivey: OG Florida.
Perfect addition for depth and potential starter for the void that was RG last year. He is a huge upgrade in run blocking over Caleb Benenoch.
Round 6: This was traded to Arizona for Bruce Arians.
#7. Jordan Scarlett: RB Florida.
A strong runner between the tackles, which was missing all last year, would be a welcomed addition to the backfield working behind Peyton Barber in the depth chart.
