The Bucs draft a versatile Center

The Buccaneers have used the 26th pick to select a center, a guard, and a tackle all-in-one. Duke’s Graham Barton is the newest Buccaneer on the roster.

Versatile doesn’t completely tell the tale.

Barton not only can play other positions on the line, he can play them all very well. He projects as a left guard or center with Tampa. Chances are we will see him man the center position and let Hainsey go back to his natural position. This selection just made the whole offensive line better and deeper.

The first-round pick out of Duke University is fundamentally sound, has excellent feet and top-tier play strength, and has a bit of a mean streak in him like recently retired Ryan Jensen. The Bucs grade out at an A+ on night one of the draft. Keep them studs coming, Jason Licht. Go Bucs!!
