Is this the Beginning of the End for Chris Godwin?

Chris Godwin has officially been listed as doubtful for Week 6 against the 49ers — and that news has to be concerning for Buccaneers fans. The veteran receiver missed a significant portion of last season with an ankle injury, and now, another lower-body issue has surfaced.

There’s no denying what Godwin has meant to Tampa Bay’s offense. He’s been among the most reliable, productive receivers in franchise history, with Baker Mayfield repeatedly praising his leadership and consistency. However, the reality is becoming increasingly hard to ignore — the injuries are starting to accumulate.

Godwin has never been known for blazing speed, relying instead on crisp route-running and toughness. However, with another lower-body setback, questions are starting to surface: are we witnessing the beginning of the end for one of the Buccaneers’ most trusted weapons?
