Familiar face.
He’s been here plenty of times, once every season for 15 years. This time, though, he is wearing orange, white, and navy blue. Payton’s teams, most of the time with the Saints, were of a stronger, rather than a weaker, variety. In 2024, he leads the Denver Broncos into sunny Tampa Bay to face a Buccaneers’ team that is building confidence with every win. Coming off of an upset in Detroit, the Bucs have every reason to feel good about themselves at 2-0 on the season and 6-point favorites at home against Denver.
Stay grounded and play your game.
Chances are the Bucs will come out of week 3 at 3-0, and the Broncs should leave exactly the opposite at 0-3. Most of the experts are in agreement; this should be a Pewter Sunday on Dale Mabry. Rachaad White has been struggling a bit in the rushing department early this season. I am at a loss for why Sean Tucker hasn’t been given a few plays here and there to prove his worth. At the very least, we should see Bucky Irving getting more touches. It will be interesting to see the ball distribution among the running backs this week in a game we should have control of most of the way. I’m looking for a game score of Bucs – 34, Broncos 17. Go Bucs!!
