Greg Auman of The Athletic reports that the Kansas City Chiefs have signed 4th-year veteran wide receiver Justin Watson to a one-year deal.

Watson was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 5th round of the 2018 NFL draft. He played in 40 games, recording 23 catches for 258 yards and 2 touchdowns. Justin Watson also became the first offensive player in Buccaneers history to record a sack when he sacked Carolina Panthers punter Joseph Charlton instead of punting the football, attempted to throw it and was tackled by wide receiver Justin Watson behind the line scrimmage, resulting in the first-ever sack by an offensive player in franchise history.

He spent a lot of time on the Buccaneers practice squad and was waived at the end of the 2021 season. Watson is a capable pair of hands and will be one to watch during Kansas City’s training camp.
